Sweetest Devotion - Piece 2 
 
This piece follows the journey of my little family welcoming baby number 2 into our lives. This pregnancy has been a lot different to my experience with Billy. Life is busier now, I’m less prepared and more prepared in some ways. I’ve felt like I’m in survival mode most of this journey and now I feel this overwhelming feeling of readiness. The excitement is outweighing the nerves. I can’t wait to welcome this little boy into our lives. These may be my last artworks before my life changes once again. Before I wont be able to pickup the brush anymore. I wanted to capture these feelings as soon, they’ll be a memory. 
 
 
Sweetest Devotion - Piece 1 
 
Another artwork following my motherhood journey, what’s new! While this season of my life has been consuming and has greatly influenced most of my artworks, I’m learning to be comfortable with this. I don’t want to take this time for granted, It passes by too quickly for my heart to handle. So this is me and this is my work. This piece follows the journey of my husband and I welcoming Billy into our lives. During my pregnancy with Billy, I perfectly remember the first time I cried. Overwhelmed with love and excitement. I was in the car alone, going through Adeles 25 album (one of my all time favourites). Last but not least, the song Sweetest Devotion came on. All of the feelings came out! I had been at her concert years ago and was lucky enough to hear her talk about the song and what it mean for to her and it resonated with me so deeply. Sweetest Devotion was the perfect inspiration and title for this piece.
