Rivers Run
This piece shows a pattern of rivers. Water has always been a place of peace for me and it’s an element that appears often in my work. The detailing in my artwork adds layers of information and meaning to the overall piece. I’d love to share the elements that define this as a river. The lines tracing the edges of the waterways represent the natural rise and fall of the rivers, sometimes swelling enough to flood and leave a distinct mark along the riverbank trees. The detailing in the centre represent the cracked mud found along the river’s edge, a texture unique to rivers and not seen in the ocean. Finally the dotted detail represents the rich ecosystem of the water.
