My People
This piece was inspired by family. Two community circles represent our older ones and younger ones. In between I put a few stars representing our loved ones no longer with us. Between these community circles are waterways, not only representing where we come from but the blood and spirit running through us that we share. The image is mirrored to represent the importance of balance in our relationships. Knowing when to hold on and when to let go. I built people up in the corners to represent togetherness, respect and how we rally around each other. I love my family.
